Thanks in advance....

It's bigger than any of my other cories.... at least 2+ inch long and about 2+ plus in girth.... Visual estimation with a tape besides it....

What? The big cory at the bottom of the second pic in the first post? That's an aeneus alright.
The second series of pics are those of a female C. elegans.

I think the first pic. is a female c. elegans and the second pic. is a male c.elegans in the back ground and a female c.elegans in the forground.
I'm sure Ian will let us know for sure.

1st pic is C. elegans female.
2nd pic at rear is C. napoensis and C. sp cf elegans female basicaly a ??
3rd 4th & 5th pic are C. cf pestai. No C. eques here

There are a lot of 'elegans species types around at the moment and there are possibly 3 new species amongst them.

Have a look at the page below.

Thanks a lot.....

These fishes were basically loners in a tank full of other cories, thus I had "rescued" them and brought them home to keep.... And now I have finally gotten them ID'd...thanks

Ian you are simply amazing with your ability to ID corys. What is the best way to tell a male c.elegans from a male c.napoensis as I also picked up 3 corys from a lps and the male looks similar to the cory in the background of pic. 2. The fins look like they are kind of yellowish in the right light.

This is a male C. elegans in top breeding condition Image

This is a C. napoensis
Image

basically C. napoensis Has a large dark blotch in the dorsal and C. elegans has a couple of indistinct horizontal bars.

Check out the link on my last post.
