The second link is very interesting.
If you should use books for your information, search for Tatia perugiae. It's best known under that name(I still don't understand why this species is now called Centromochlus). Good luck with them. Very nice kittens (small cats).

I have one in a 30 gallon with 5 Corydoras Concolor and a L204. The fish is quite a character. Hides out most of the day until I put in some blood worms. He will emerge from his lair within 5 seconds and swim as if possessed. Once he finds pile of worms he will swim in circles "vaccuuming" up food as fast as he can. Once he's satisfied he'll sit on the bottom for a few minutes and then return home. I know these guys are noctunal and reclusive but mine has no problem feeding in broad daylight ...

I have about 10 of these little gems. They are really fun little creatures. I keep them in a 100lit tank and the feeding frenzie when I feed is incredible. I found a couple of small fry in the tank the day before yesterday!
So they seem to be pretty easy to breed. I will now set up the tank just for breeding purposes.
They should be available for more people to keep. They are small enough to fit in any peaceful community tank and nicely coloured.
Mine are kept in pH around 7, GeneralHardness around 3 and temp at 25Celcius. Alot of hiding places - judging from their eyes and they way they feed they are indeed night oriented. Mine feed more enthusiastic the later in the evening the get fed.
Good luck!

AAAAAAAAAAA. the poll question is unfair. I cant decide between synos and pims

My opinion is that the Poll feature should be disabled. Most posts for polls are total #$%^, eg. "What is your favorite catfish you don't have".

I'll second Dave's suggestion; ditch the poll.
but AFAIK only the OP or a MOD can do that, so......
my favourite cats (wich I already HAVE, Dave
with an exception of 2 species) are Claroteids and currently a pair of
Platystacus cotylephorus wich are truly beautiful and far more easy to keep and rewarding than I could ever know beforehand......
Ditch the poll
