The vaillantii has been in this 4500 gal for 5 years now and doing well. Not growing much at all for the last several years, despite heavy feeding and round shape. I don't understand this - why it is not growing and whether it is the norm in captivity. What's your experience, peer keepers???

It seems stuck at 2 feet for good.

Minus one more gulper, which had fought the illness for a month. So down to 6. But another is sick with the same symptom of imbalance. That bug that entered our tanks in 2018 most usually causes one of the two symptoms or both: body swelling all over and/or loss of balance. Only had the gulper for less than a year. 9"-10".

Alpha female RTC was attacked. Tentatively it seems to be the alpha male RTC and perhaps also the TSNxRTC hybrid. Is this a test of strength of a potential breeding mate?

4-Pack vulture catfish update: one female died at 8yo 26"/65cm (same symptoms we often see with our fish - a period of fast followed by erratic swimming), another female is sick, two males are ok.
