The patterning makes me think they're (Jags) quite a bit smaller than previously thought - how big are they?

Have to admit to being surprised to see them myself that small, but it works out perfect for me as it gives them lots of time to grow. I'd been offered some about 2", but the supplier of these (now out of stock as far as I know) did them at excellent prices - have to admit to expecting to see L.morrowi when they arrived, so was chuffed to see they are true jags.Richard B wrote:Whoa! i haven't seen 'em that small in a donkeys age
Now those I would have loved to have seen!Richard B wrote:I had some at 1"TL years ago & these were the cutest things
(albeit they were a little delicate at that size)
I would be real careful to make sure these little guys start eating well, I have never seen them that small myselfAlison has offered to keep them all in quarantine until i am able to pop over and collect my 'tiddler' as soon as I have the time.

Yes, agreed. The size quoted is for the smallest one - I think the other two are big enough (looking at the image again, I'd say 2-3" and 3-4" respectively) to not be a real worry.Birger wrote:I would be real careful to make sure these little guys start eating well, I have never seen them that small myselfAlison has offered to keep them all in quarantine until i am able to pop over and collect my 'tiddler' as soon as I have the time.

You're welcome, Marc.Thank you Kruseman for your tip!
No idea about the and I'm not sure, but I think the woodcat would eat youngshrimp, likely safe with adults.racoll wrote:Geez, good question. Being in New Zealand now, pretty much anything would be nice.....
What I want is.....
Boraras brigittae
They are doing very well in my retro nano tank...
How about a nice catfish? or (out of curiosity, would these be safe with Boraras or shrimp?) would be nice, but sadly they are banned species too.
I wish more people did this. The forum has been running for 11 years and I often think, when I see a new thread, that there was a thread about that where the OP has declined or not bothered to seek and add to the existing thread.bekateen wrote:May not be a good idea to revive an old thread, but I see no reason to start a new thread with the same theme.

Coming from a third researcher: Amen, Viktor. When I read Silurus' wish, I realized that I have that wish every day of the year! LOL. Silurus and Viktor, I wish you the best - may all your Christmas wishes come true.Viktor Jarikov wrote:Coming from a fellow researcher, it's a pretty but a pipe dreamSilurus wrote:Finishing all of the research projects I started (some are more than a decade old).
