After more than 3 years i will post some new photo's.
This year I've bought 8 discusfishes. In novembre 2012 i bought 5 'red spotted téfe' discusfishes. But one of the group died after six months ore something. 3 months ago i bought 4 more discusfishes, this time some discus with more colour called 'Red Scribbelt discus'.
This is the one week ago400L):
The echinodorus are new, so they're still small!
And some picture of the fishes

Very nice photography and tanks!
what camera and lens do you use for these great pics? using a tripod?
also do your L230s come out during the day to feed?

Thnx Plecomania!
I use the Sony A200 with an sigma 105mm macro lens.
Yes, all of my catfishes are coming out of their holes during the day during the feeding times

whaaaaat, how do you discus not eat all of your cherry shrimp?
btw is that a random platy in the tank? or are there several in there?

Haha, the discus eat a lot of cherry shrimps. But the shrimps do have many hiding places. Because of that their will always be a small population of shrimps..
I've 4 platy's in the tank. These are the last 4 I could not catch a few months ago.

i had the same thing happen back when i had a planted tank like this and i had cherry shrimp with stuff like betta, livebearers and other fish like one random goldfish. yet they still were able to hide in the plants enough to have a population going. i'm just surprised that they can even get by with discus around.
you can't catch platies ? catch them at night when they are sleeping. or very early morning when its dark. they pretty much stand still when you fist turn on the light in the room.
I have one platy in my tank, and am wondering if it will pass on soon (close to 2 years old now) so that my tank becomes all fish from South America.
