Hi there,
I am also a long time lurker. This may have been my first fish site that I regularly visited. I am originally from Germany, have lived all over the U.S. and Canada and am comfortably settled in sunny Florida. My catfish live happily with a bunch of loaches.

Welcome, Juventus. Are you an Italian in Norway? If I am not mistaken, this is how a famous Italian football club is spelled...
Welcome, Starsplitter7. Nice. I might join you soon in FL, if God is willing. For now, greetings from getting-to-be-cold shores of Lake Ontario. We are hitting mid 40-ies F now for highs.
Hi, Klink5 and BasS. We have a good representation from Chicago area but the number of participants from the Netherlands is just astoundingly out of proportion w.r.t. such a small country. Must be a particularly fish- or catfish-friendly country...

Hi, I'm from Rome, Italy. I have mainly African cichlidae, but I'm also keeping and breeding Ancistrus sp (really I don't know what they're) and I have 4 adult Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps (sold me under this species): 2 of them are living together in a 300 cm long tank with many Tanganyikan fishes.Unfortunatley I live in an area where the water is very hard and alkaline and I have problems to keep some soft water species...

Hi all
I am from Norway, living in a small town named Kongsberg. Not exactly the area where you expect to find tropical catfish.....We have already about 30 cm of snow here and the winter has not even begun!

Hi all
My name is Atle and I'm from a small city called Jessheim in Norway. We have recently started a tank (Vision 450) after several years without. Currently we keep 3 wild Discus, 2 L255, 2 Ansistrus and a pack of Sterbais. All visitors pay attention to the discus, but my biggest moment yet was when the male L255 showed himself at daytime....

I Guess I must have the record for the number (lowest) of posts per year in this forum.. I joined PC in 2004 when I was in Secunderabad. At that time my interest in fish was generic. Even now I don't have any catfish specific tank but I do think they are a lot more fascinating..
Currently I am in Bangalore in the state of Karnataka in India.

I think that's true. But I also think that fishkeeping in South America is lower per capita than in countries in the Northern Hemisphere and Australia.

Good old USA here! The state of Tennessee to be exact.
My extent of keeping cats was, yes, was, in my 75g Mbuna tank. I had two Syno Petripinnis (Petricola or Lucipinnis)for 4+ years but had a problem with a filter pad and I lost them both. I'm hoping to setup a display tank of just cats sometime soon though. They are fun little guys to watch.
