My introduction to catfish was with Synodontis contractus and is still my favorite species to this day, in spite of all those Corys.

My first catfish were two pepperd corys (Yes, only two , but I was just learning).

The way that I got into catfish was while I was on holiday with one of my friends about 3 years ago. At the time I had only just started to keep fish. We went into a fish shop and he bought a book on Cichlids (which I didnt like) so I bought a book on catfish. I guess from that point I really got into catfish .

A common pleco in my dads aquarium got me started when i was around 8.

My brothers always wanted bettas, but i preferred the catfish.
