The site has been updated today. I also created a Facebook page for updates. The complete fish list can be found in the report, in total we caught 65 species including two possible new species (Parotocinclus sp. and a Bryconops sp.). If some of you plan on visiting the Vivarium 2012 Fair in Holland let me know, I will be there with the book that I made about this expedition.

Brilliant to have even more of this stuff - bring it on!
I will now start working on the English (and possible German) translation of this report and after that I will start to edit the videos. Translation volunteers are welcome, 24 hours per day is not enough.

We did not bring any live specimens with us. The only fish that we brougth back were specimens preserved in alcohol for scientific research.
@ Pleco:
Willem Kolvoort was one of the expedition members, he took some incredible udnerwater images. You can visit his page here: http://www.kolvoortonderwaterfoto.nl/nl ... namerivier It's in Dutch but the pictures speak for themself.

Finished a new video today. This time we are taking you to the Awadan and Peti rapids in the Gran Rio river, Suriname. Both of these rapids are home to large ammounts of catfishes. The website also had a makeover, be sure to check it out and leave some feedback: http://www.aquatic-discoveries.nl

I like the Web site. One thing I would reconsider though, is using a 724MB video as a background image. It took ages to load, and then made the CPU go crazy. Better off without it, I think.
