i plan to get some L002 in the near future!!

what do you plan on doing with the fry? if these are illegal in NZ then you might have a little bit more money in your pocket for other species :beardy:

OMG  That's brilliant! They are so cute. Wish my P.maccus would get the hint but they're not all bristles like yours, maybe still too young. Will be keeping my eyes out for more smaller panaque when I visit the big stores, they're just amazing.

Nice Job

congrats! THe father must be doing his job well! I just notice that my male (L127) has either been eating eggs or removing infertile ones as there are only 10-20 eggs left.

I also notice in my L140 that there are only about half of the eggs that get to hatch. I am guessing that he is either eating the infertile ones, or just snacking on 1 per day until they hatch.

Hi DJ,
Great picture of the sexing differences.

Bye the way. I don't think that L002 are particularly legal in Aussie either 8)

Head shape overall is a good indicator of sex on most Loricariidae. A broader head -> male, more pointy/narrow head -> female.

Sorry to hear that - it's always a shame when a group of fish dies due to being transported....

Hi,
This will be the last of the "growth photos". I have released them into a larger tank, and not really seen them again. Although I am sure they are in there somewhere....
