When my cories were in their own tank i had them low 70s.

yeah all my other bettas are at 78-80

I was trying to combine tanks you know? I know bad idea. I thought couple degrees higher for cories couple lower for betta? O.k. Mr Betta Bud is going back in his own ten.

What about the 4 otos in there, would be a devil to catch them. :(

Bud is in his own ten again, wonderign where all his buddies are.

I am slowly lowering the temp of the rubbernose/peppered cory tank.

Any suggestions of anything to go with Bud the betta in the 10 gal? He likes other fish. He swam with the cories and swished his tail at the pl*cos? Any cute little fish but not too little for him to eat?

**ETA** should i even have the heater on in the 55? Should I turn it off?

Some would work, as would some more , an , a small , or some maybe.

Other than catfish, most small tetras would work (but not nippy ones!), and small barbs such as the cherry barbs or harlequin rasboras.

Some hardy dwarf cichlids might also be an idea.

Larry Waybright (Apistomaster) has some lovely cockatoo cichlids and some baby for sale at the moment here.

Just be very careful choosing "small barbs", as there are quite some of them that are of the nippy variety. The cherry barbs are not, but that's the only ones I can immediately say are not going to nip fins. Some of the tetras are also often nippy, e.g. serpae tetra.
