Hi everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the people who have showed their support by purchasing a Monster Fish Rescue T-Shirt. The shirts are definitely conversation starters at your local fish shop, swap meet or auction. Thanks for helping educate other hobbyists about large fish and their proper care! That’s what MFR is all about!

I’d also like to thank “bell” from the cichlid-forum.com for nominating me for Animal Planets “Hero of the Year Award” You’re a class act bell, thank you!

For more information on the Hero of the Year Award click on the link:
http://animal.discovery.com/convergence ... /hero.html

Since I’m posting I wanted to let people know that I’ve taken your feedback about the shirts and have come up with another option for those who choose not to advertise how much of a fish geek they really are LOL Monster Fish Rescue now has ball caps available!

Image

You can get them in an array of colors, and if you’d like (upon request) you can even get yourself a Trucker hat in any of the colors available.

Please keep in mind that I don’t keep shirts and hats in stock, they’re made to order and can take up to four weeks to get them to your door step. Personally I think it’s worth the wait!

Don’t forget to check the site for fish that are up for adoption!

Thanks again! Jonathan (aka TheFishGuy)

This starts conversations. Some are positive, some are negative. The negative isn't worth the oxygen and don't become angry with people like this. It is a "hot button" issue. Oh, well. No sense in arguing with someone who is always correct. :beardy:

I don't have the room to adopt large fish. But, when my brother told me my nephew wanted a turtle for his 7th birthday, I suggested an adoption. A 15 year-old red ear slider fit the bill. My nephew is very happy. The red ear slider appears to be thriving in his new home.

I have S.angelicus but I agree that the Auchenoglanis or one of the bigger syno's like would definitely be more suitable as an African catfish and they are out there as well being sold to people. The auchenoglanis would make an interesting picture.

Ok, We’re going to try something new… I’ve got three shirts up for auction on eBay. MFR needs donations desperately. The utilities are getting a bit out of hand! Please bid on one of the shirts, or take a look at the site and order yourself a hat or shirt, or make a cash donation. MFR could be on the verge of going under if something doesn’t happen soon. The shirts are doing a good job at getting the name out but do not generate very much $$, and Money is what MFR needs. If you don’t donate because you feel someone else has…. They haven’t. So do your part to make a difference!

Thank you to those that have donated, and thank you in advance to those that are about to donate. Keep in mind there’s no minimum to donate. So if you’ve got an extra $1 please help in our fight to educate the new hobbyist and to re-habilitate and re home large fish.

Here’s a link to the Large Tan RTC shirt on eBay:

Here’s a link to the Double X (XXL) Black RTC shirt:

And the link to a Triple X (XXXL) Hunter Green RTC shirt:

Happy bidding! These shirts are here and ready to be shipped to any destination world wide!

Thank You!
TFG

Hi folks, MFR is in need of a 20’x15’ pond liner. I found one on eBay for $100 or so including shipping. So I thought I’d come on all the sites and see if people are willing to donate to reach the goal of $100. I’m expecting some large fish shortly and need the room! I belong to 26 forums, so if I only got $4 from one person on every forum we’d make the goal! Here’s the link to the pond liner I’d like to get:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=012

Or if someone has pond liner to donate that’d be great! Thanks again to all the MFR supporters! You guys are great!

Jonathan
