First Spawn!
YES
I first spawn, my Albino BN only less than 4 cm have breed! I don't know if the eggs will make it for I have a huge common BN with his eyes on them, I just noticed when I was vacuum under the bog wood. I'm so excited, their is about 20-30 eggs!

its the Albino male who is fanning them. Their is only 1 common BN. The female was getting very large last week and I thought it was due to over feeding but she could of been carrying eggs.ndoboi wrote:Zeb, are you sure it's the albinos that have bred? It's HIGHLY unlikely that they're mature at 4cm (they're probably only 6months old). That's also a LOT of eggs for a 4cm fish. Who's fanning the eggs? You say the common has his eyes on them, is it possible they belong to him?

well bad news, half the eggs are gone so I pulled them away, I found the common BN eating them, so I put the eggs in a net that is under the water, their is allot of water flow because it is near a air stone and near the spray bar. Sadly the eggs where exposed to the air for about 3 seconds, but we will see what happens. Hopefully now the BN will start breeding allot more regularly.
I have got them a 3ft tank, which they can go in for the mean while but I want to put a slightly rare L# in their, but fore the meanwhile they can stay in their. I'm going to take the angels back to the LFS in about a month or two when they are fully grown, and the balas two, and my tank will be moved to my bedroom in around 2-3 weeks! that's when I get my royals!
Everything is falling into place

Well I was told by the LFS that the male will get 'sad' when the eggs are eaten, but Iâ??m not to shore on that. It could take anywhere up to a few weeks before they breed again but if you are lucky they could breed tonight. All depends on the condition of your water/tank, but as they have breed before than your chances will increase.
thanks
thank you santa. i willkeep an eye out....i yave been reading some of the other posts and are making an effort
to improve the feeding.....they are healthy but i am gong to increase other foods for them...
so far so good...
