Yes. I feel bogwood is quite appropriate in the aquarium.
Dead sunken wood is a natural part of almost every river and lake.
Fish often find shelter and food in it.
It is not necessary in the aquarium, as many substitute items of decor are available, but it does give a very natural effect.
Some catfish (Panaque sp.) even eat wood, and require it for their wellbeing.
