Rubbernose turned white

Post by Thanewguy »

Hi, I am new here and have been told this a great place for all catfish questions. I bought two rubbernose plecos yesterday, one is still blue and pretty, the other one is has turned completely white spots and all, It is not a growth he is just white. He is towards the bottom and i have a white gravel, would he have changed his color to match the gravel more cuz the other one is on a dark background and has retained a good color. I am very worried.

Most plecos are pretty good at copying the background colour, so you've probably got it right that it's changing colour based on the background.
