and are from Colombia.
are also caught in Colombia, and sometimes mixed into the shipment of Sturisoma species.
Of course, there are many fish that don't understand our lines on maps that we call borders... So fish can be "found" in one country, and listed as "residents" of another one... So for example fish from nerby Venezuela can occur in shipments from Colombia... Especially if they live in a river that runs through both countries...

I'am sure that it isn't Sturisoma panamense, Sturisoma aureum or Sturisomatichthys leigthoni. That last two we have too.
This one looks more like Sturisoma nigrirostrum, but that should come from a verry different place. I am sure that these are cought in Colombia becouse a friend of us cought them himself there.

Whilst the pictures certinaly do match , I would think that it's far off Paraguay River (which is the only DOCUMENTED range for S. barbatum)... Not saying it's NOT S. barbatum - just that S. barbatum is not listed in either Fishbase or CLOFFSCA as occuring there...
Of course, it could be that the country of origin is wrong, and it actually came from southern brazil, rather than Colombia...
