Obvious differences between young Petricola & Multipunct

Can anyone please tell me what if any are the obvious differences betweent the two? Thank you.

multipunctatus: black fins with the white edge on the back of the fin.

petricola: 'inverted' fincolors! the fins are black, but the spines of both pectoral and dorsal fin are white, so the colorpattern looks very different from multipunctatus.

Watch out if you want to be sure of avoiding hybids though. Check out the rest of the site Petricola links. Good advice there also I think.

hybrids almost always lack the black and white fins.
those do carry the spots, but usually the fincolors are messed up.

if the fins (tail included) are jetblack with white it's a big change you've got the real thing.

Another difference: petricola's got spotted belly's! multipuncs have white belly's, no spots.

Also: narrow mouth, long whiskers, big eyes: multipunctatus
broad mouth, shorter thin whiskers, small eyes: petricola.

Thanks guys 100% sure the little ones I have are Petricola's and not hybrids specially as I bought them from a respected fish shop from a forum member.
