Hi all,

Can anyone ID this hoplo that is due to be shipped in from Peru soon!

They name it Porthol yellow

Sorry about the picture but its the only one the exporter had.

Looks like a Hoplosternum Littorale to me.

It seems to me as well (like your other picture, but a larger specimen).

Really? Do you not think it's unlikely that a fish exported from Peru, when it native in Paraguay River basin on the opposite side of the continent?

[There are some other Lepthoplosternum spp. that are native to Peru, but not the L. pectorale]
