I once saw a holiday photo from a frined who went for a trip to the Anapurna range in the Himalayas. It showed some Nepalese villagers dragging a huge catfish through the village. It looked as big as two people. I do not know the species but now suspect it may have been a goonch as this is reputed to grow quite big. Here are a few pics & articles off the web:
