What Synodontis is this?

Post by Cichlid_Guy »

My brother got this Synodontis but I forgot the name(and so did he). He gave it to me and I was looking at it and its solid black and always swims upside down. I have 2 other catfish that were sold to me as upside down cats but they have a dark brown body with light brown(or black, I cant tell to good) dots. This Synodontis has a shovel nose like a common catfish that you might catch while fishing. Also, just curious, can you get a sting from a Syndodontis?

Oh crap, it is. I am pretty sure that when he got it, the label was upside down Synodontis. It was in a tank of Malawi Cichlids for a couple of years, and is in mine now, we it be all right with cichlids? Thanks
