Corydoras Nanus?

These were sold as C. Nanus. They look like bilineatus to me. Any ideas?

Difficult...could be napoensis or C-126 also.

Personally I think they are C. napoensis from Peru, but C126 is also a distinct possibility. C. nanus come from Suriname and have a four lined colour pattern.

The biggest problem with trying to put names to these fish is that quite often there are potentially several species being shipped in the same bag. In a single shipment of C. napoensis I have found a possible six, may be even seven species, C. napoensis, C. elegans, C123, C126, C132, C89, C. sp "San Juan" and one I call C. sp "Gold line". In all probability they were not all caught at the same time, but brought together at the collecting station. Some of the above we have collection locations for but others we do not.

C. napoensis = Ecuador, Rio Aguarico and Rio Napo systems.
= Peru, Rio Nanay.
C. elegans = Wide spread, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
C132 = ??
C126 = Peru, Rio Madre de Dios
C123 = Peru, Rio Nanay
C89 = Brazil.

The fish in the first two pictures look like a pair and are possibly C126, but I would not commit 100% without knowing where they were caught. The second two pictures look to be one and the same fish and one I would put into the C. sp "San Juan" category.

Corydoras sp. "San Juan" has not a "C-number"?
