half inch black cat?

I was in the lfs this morning and there was this little black catfish swimming by himself. I asked how much and what it was but they didn't know. They said that it came in with the goldfish. It is about half an inch long and all black. It has 6 wiskers on its face. It has the body shape of a channel cat it think. Any help would be great. Thanks

It's probably a juvenile bullhead. Check the Cat-eLog in Ictaluridae; genus Ameiurus.
