Red Tail Sternella

Post by batho »

Anybody know what one of these is.

I have looked in Cat-eLog and found nothing of this name.

Found in LFS priced at UK£15 labelled as Red Tail Sternella.
Approx. 1.5"
Looks like L075 Pseudocanthicus leopardus but so small can't really tell.

Any ideas?

It is Pseudacanthicus leopardus indeed. Sternella is a corruption of Stoneiella, which is considered a synonym of Pseudacanthicus.

Silurus,

How long do these Pl*cos take to grow to full size (9.6")?
Will it be OK with an LDA33, L205, L141 and a bristlenose timmerecks?

Anything else i should know about this species?

The price is fair. I paid £18 for one.
