This is the plan to which i am going to build but its going to be an 8ft tank and there is a lot more foam in the 4ft sump and the sump has a better design (havent got time to upload number 3) so this is number 2
This is all from my head with MS paint so any coments welcome to help me make it better

I am planning to keep
3x Geophagus sp. Reds
2x colourful (As of yet undecided) Cichlids
My Pleco, L001 - L022
And a lot of bottom activity with frogs and bottom dwellers,
On the top I want a few big top dwellers,
I like a lot of activity in the tank and I would prefer to do this with smaller bottom fish like a big shoal of skunk catfish, frogs, and My big pleco
I am going to run white sand, lots of roots and some nice big rocks (but I am gunna hollow them out so they don't displace much water and have caves in them,
But its going to be about 10 month before I am going to be at that stage so it might change by then but I defo want the Geophagus sp Reds

Make sure you utilise a pump in the sump that can run dry or build a flow switch into the overflow or vertical tank drain.

ive just set up a 84"x24"x30" with a 60"x15"x24" sump, and my head was battered piping it all in and getting it running, my advise is take your time so you get it right 1st time. The last thing you want is to fill it up and realise you have done something wrong (because them 7 footers are bloody heavy).

How much did this cost you to do?
i have reconed it will set me back around the £3000 mark,
Do you think the running costs going to be a lot? i have estimated £650 a year for electric, and around £200 for water, so thats £80 a month before i even put the fish in, feed them, add the equipment.
Nothing is going to stop me though!
