this little guy and the 8+ year old girl look to be a good cross between the two, or I'm completely off the mark and they are another flavor all together.

Doesn't look like Julii to me ... more likely Trilineatus.

My main reason to question the fact is that neither look that similar to the pics from or and the two have been known to cross-breed.

Almost certainly C. trilineatus, from Peru. There is always confusion with this species and C. julii, they come from almost the opposite sides of the continent thousands of kilometres apart and should not really be confused. Their colour patterns do overlap to a certain degree, but the shape of the two species are different, C. julii is deeper and more compressed in body shape and the head is shorter and more rounded.
