Whiptail usually refers to Rineloricaria and twig catfish to Farlowella. Which do you have?

I think they are pretty neat looking. Great planted tank algae eaters. the ones I had were equiped with some really long noses, which I hadn't seen on any of the pictures. Whats with that guy's?

F.acus is not a fish that would be imported.

The most likely is .

Bear in mind rostrum length varies with sex.

Not really a suitable fish for your set up

Do not rely on them to survive on algae, there won't be any "edible" algae in your tank with a gibby.

These fish are vegetarian. Make sure they get enough vegetable food. Feed them on flake or algae wafers, and they are likely to suffer from intestinal problems.

Any veggies you feed will be eaten by the goldfish and gibby.

You run the risk of starving the fish.

contains A LOT of incorrect information. Mostly because the identifications are all wrong. What they show as F. acus is F. vittata and what they show as F. gracilis is F. mariaelenae.
