I purchased this little guy about a week and a half ago, he was labled a "King Tiger Pleco" but I'm not convinced that's his real common name.
The folks over at Pleco fanatics have tried but there isn't a consensus on what he is.
The exstensive list of catfish here is mindblowing and I'm leaning tward an L333 or L270 but I'd like to be sure (my knowledge of pleco's is slim to none.)
You may want to look at L316. Although I've seen similar fish imported as L333, this really looks like an exceptionally colored L316 to me. Very nice fish.

Impossible only means that somebody hasn't done it correctly yet.
L316 have very small eyes so this cant be that species, the eyes seams to be big so it should belong to the L333 group.
I would want to see a better and sharper pic showing this species from the side so we can compare the shape of the head with the size of the eyes, why I ask that is because I have just recently recived a species from Colombia with the same type of colour and pattern as yours but I think mine has smaller eyes.
I tried to take some pics of similar pattern but this species I have taken pics of comes from Colombia and belongs to L129/L340 group, I just wanted to show how hard it can be to id some of the species.
