I've had the above Brachyrhamdia for a couple of months now. No pictures I have come across of B. meesi show the prominant pigmentation in the dorsal. Similarly, B. marthae doesn't appear to have an eye band.

Of course all of this speculation is assuming she is a Brachrhamdia - I'm not so hot on my pims.

Any advice on same-species compatability would be nice too (still some left in the shop) - I assumed they were territorial with their own, but obviously enjoy cory's.

Cheers,
Mark.

Thanks Siluris,
I agree my specimen does share the characteristics shown on the cat-elog except the pigmentation in the dorsal.

I assume the pictured fish either haven't developed this feature or are in fright mode. Similarly, Jorge's i.d.'d meesi had a clear dorsal.

I'm happy with the i.d., just keen to share my observation.

Cheers,
Mark.
