Live food

Post by ac82 »

What kind of live food to people use to get their Corys into top condition for breeding?

I currently feed mine (paleatus, metae, schwartzi and barbatus) with King British Tropical fish mni pellets supplemented with live bloodworm 1/2 a week.

I was wondering whether you feed them earthworms? Would anyone recommend any other dry food at all?

Cheers for the help

Andy

variety is the key i feed mine at least 3-4 different dry foods (tabi min, catfish pellets, tetra prima, aquarian tablets) with as much live food as i can get hold of.blood worm, tubiflex, daphnia and they come into spawning condition quickly if you use whiteworms.

Pier Aquatics are starting to sell whiteworm cultivation's soon. I feed my Weitzmani on whiteworm and they love it.

In the States many of us use live black worms to get Corys into breeding condition. Chopped up earth worms will work well too. Make sure you wash them well. Your Corys will do fine with what you are feeding now.
