Did you ever manage to get a positive ID on the 'Crocodile' Whiptails ? I ended up with a breeding pair that have spawned a few times, but I still havent been able to decide on a positive ID. I have finally managed to get some fry past the 8 week period, so might end up with a small colony of them in a few monthes.
LFS (Organisms) has some whiptails labelled as 'Columbian' but only 2 and can't tell if a pair of not.

Thanks Jackster, they seem a pretty close mach to Rineloricaria fallax, but I will see if I can get some more pic's.
Im not too sure what the species the Crocodille Whiptails are, the closest I could come up with was something similar to Rineloricaria lancolata. Congrats on breeding them! My pair unfortunatly both got body tumours, after I saved them when their tank broke, and died. I haven't seen any in ages! Would love some babies at some stage if I could get my hands on them.
Does anyone know how long it will take for the egg's to hatch?
Cheers, CatBrat.
