Flagtail?

Post by JarredDarque »

ok I think what I picked up to be a flag tail, it is currently in a 29 gallon, it is about 3 inches long. I dont hav ea camera so cant take pics :/

anyways, I read the thing in cat-elog it says they get up to abotu 5 inches, and are a good community fish. The LFS said 8 inches and predatory to smaller fish, like my cory cats. (I prefer that they err on the side of caution rather then selling a large predatory and saiyng it only gets to a foot and is a community fish)

Are there any cats it can easily be confused with? Are there any special requirements? he is housed with two raphaels, some cories, and some angels. Future tankmates will all be catfish under a foot, and maybe a bichir of some sort, if I can figure out if one of hte smaller breeds would eat a this guy

Pure nonsense...... one of the most harmless catfish I can think of. You should take care of some company, though. This species needs to be kept in a (small) group.

This species is pretty shy and easily scared; in my experience it's not very fond of larger tankmates.
