You should have two versions of the same picture, a small and a large. You make the small picture a link to the larger shot, which is the same method used here in the Cat-eLog.

Conversly, you can take another photo of your fish that is much, much larger :)

It is a Panaque cf nigrolineatus.
Any idae of the origin Colombia or Brasil...difficult to give you a L-number...

There are several "variants" of the species . As per usual, the scientists will have to argue whether they are all one species or different species.

L27 itself has at least three variants (L27a, L27b, L27c). There's also L190/L191 and L330 that are closely related (although L330 is probably a different species).

Aside from "knowing where it came from", it's pretty difficult to determine which is which of these ones, as it's colour gradations that differ from one to another, so a dark photo of one may look like a lighter photo of another, or the other way around.

At least country of origin would rule a few of them out...
