Number of Petricola

Post by Freyr »

I'm planning on getting some S. Petricola for my 40 gal. high. They will be in there with some calvus and cyprichromis cichlids. How many petricola would fit in this tank?

Probably 6-8, they are schoolers, and don't like to be alone. They are SLOW growers too, take several years to reach sexual maturity. Word of advice, they like to swim up the outflow of hob filters. I lost a few before I realized that, finally found one dried on the glass top of my 55. I presume the others MIA hit the floor, and were eaten by the dog. I put a full-size fluorescent light on top, which blocks the openings in the AC 110's, and haven't missed any since.
