Hi all , Just did a water test , results are :
Ph 7.2 / KH 6d / N02 0 / N03 10 .

Would be ok for my Clarias Batrachus.
Any info would be great.

According to the Cat-eLog, Clarias batrachus is pretty tolerant to varying water conditions, so I wouldn't worry about that.

However, it also grows to around a meter in length - not a particularly good thing if you haven't got a big pond - sorry, I'm not sure if you'd explained previously how you'd like to house this particular fish? A 16000 liter/3500 UK gallon tank is the norm, I would think, if we look at it from a 4L x 2L x 2L baseline. You may well be able to get away with something a bit smaller, as they are pretty tolerant and not particularly active swimmers if I understand it right. Perhaps 3m x 1.5m x 1.5m - around 7000L/1500 UK gal. Anything much smaller than that would be quite cramped for a fish that is a meter long...

No, it doesn't. African Clarias will reach that length. Most Asian Clarias generally reach a third of that length (as does C. batrachus). Members of the C. nieuhofii complex are the longest Asian Clarias, and they only reach half that size (they are also much smaller in girth than African species).
