Scleromystax barbatus

Post by Jeff »

Back in October I posted about my Scleromystax barbatus spawning and having difficulty in hatching the eggs. Many infertile and the eggs just wasting away.
Finally I am getting hatches, 51 total in the last batch, with three deaths.
I had to drop the Ph from 7.4 to 6.2 and drop the KH to less than 1 degree with 2 degrees hardness.
The colouration of the spawners is more intense and they seem healthier. The females fatten up nicely.

I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for their valuable information and help.
