Pictus cat question

Are pictus cats very heardy fish? i keep reading about pictus and probloms. I have a cichlid tank with a big gentle cichlid, and im adding pictus soon. the only thing is that i rarely change the water in my tank. mabey once avery month or two. but the tank has been running for years like this and i never loose fish to it. will the pictus be ok?

Pictus cats are fairly hardy and will do OK under the conditions you describe.

Interests: large cats-odd balls-I also breed alot of different african cichlid. but my favorite thing is collecting RARE or very hard to obtain fish...
