Feeding fussy 260s

Alright I have 3 L260s in a 29 gallon tank. Lotsa wood...some plants and a pair of apistos. I am having a bit of trouble feeding the QAs. I have had them for a little over two weeks....and I havent seen them eat, or so any interest in food. Im curious is there any sure fire way to get them to eat? Tank pH is at 7.4 and nitrate >5 no ammonia, or nitrite. Thanks for any suggestions.

Forgot to add, I have tried bloodworms, brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. I have also been placing it by the "males" cave. Thanks.

How warm are you keeping them? I've found their appetite increases drastically at about 84 degrees. Below that, they just sort of eat enough to get by and don't worry about stocking up. Their activity level will increase also. The water being warmer can cause less oxygen to be present, so make sure your filtration causes enough surface disturbance. These really aren't fish that come out and swim around much, to be honest. If their stomachs are plump and their eyes look healthy when you go in and roll logs to check on them, I wouldn't worry too much.

It can sometimes be a bit of a trial to get some plecos eating. My two L260's both very much like freeze dried krill and also the SKIN of Zuchinni/courgette. I would say however one has a greater hunger than the other.

Alright cool. I have the tank at about 82 I will bump it up a couple of degrees. My female cacatouides is now in her cave too

My QA's did not come out of their hiding place for the first few weeks when I had them. In meantime a put 2 sheets of paper on the cover glass, just below the light bulb (check temp of lamp, watch out for the paper catching fire). This dims the light. Since I did this my female always comes to the feeding spot (I always feed at the same place). The male only picks food that comes floating into the surroundings of his cave.
