Shy L260?

Post by Riley »

Hey,

I just purchased a "trio" of L260 QAs. I have had them since Tuesday. They have been hiding alot. Im curious, is there any way to get them to come out a lil more? My L134s and my L333s are always out...just the Qs are a little shy. All water parameters check out fine. Tank is 29 gallon, EC substrate, and lotsa bogwood. Tank mates are 3 preacox rainbows. Thanks for any help.

It isnt unusual for Plecs to stay low when first added to a tank-having alot of bogwood giving masses of hiding places isnt going to bring them out much either.
Interestingly I have L260's which are always out and L134's which hide- exact opposite of what you have.

PP :D

QA;s are known to be shy more than most hypancistrus. Mine are more than my L066. But, today i fed them in the middle of the day and they came out and fed, first time i have ever seen them feed. It was very interesting to watch. Do not mess with them, or they will just become that less active

Alright cool. I am going down to do a water change right now...they are coming out a little more this morning. They are also on the bottom of the rack, so they get walked by alot. That might spook em. Thanks for your help guys.
