I found a old pic of a catfish i had a couple of years ago. Never found out what is was, but it was sold as Peckolita vittata, but looks like a P. maccus accordning to others...
i remember it loved wood,...;)
What's your verdict?

Yes, P. Maccus (or very close relative).
The Peckoltia Vittata is a "reverse translation" problem. Peckoltia Vittata is sometimes ALSO sold under the name of Clown Pleco, so someone along the line of trading is looking up Clown Pleco and translating it to Peckoltia Vittata rather than the correct Panaque Maccus.
