my pangasius
i got my blue pangassius today but they are not eating fish flakes or shrimp pellets and are really scared of me . is this a serious problem for them . they also have white spot and i was told to put the water's temparature to 30 degreese and leave for 24 hours. i have 2 corydoras, whill this white spot treatment do them any harm
Give it time to settle in, it will feed when it's ready. Pangasius sutchi are skiddish by nature but will get better over time when it gets use to the new surroundings. As for the ich I have used that treatment before many years ago and it worked for me but can be very dangerous.
1 Platydoras costatus, 1 Agamyxis pectinifrons, 2 Pimelodus blochii, 1 Baryancistrus Sp.(L081) 1 Baryancistrus Sp.(L177) 2 Pangasius sutchi,8 Corydoras leopardus,4 Corydoras metae, 4 Corydoras pulcher,12 Corydoras habrosus,6 corydoras sp.cf.aeneus,4 Ancistrus sp(3),4 Parotocinclus jumbo
I think any time you run your tank temp that high it's dangerous to some fish.

If you try meds use a med that is safe for scaleless catfish or you could have problems. And be sure to remove any carbon you may be using for filtration, carbon removes meds. Sorry I don't know they name of the med you need but maybe some one else could tell you. It may have been maroxy or methaline blue? Good luck!

Ich medications
I bought a ich medication recently called Ich Attack. It is all natural, organic, and works on many parasites including ich. It is safe for all fish, invertebrates, and plants. I have not had to use it yet as a treatment(I bought it as a just-in-case) but I have used it as a preventive when adding new fish. I recomend using natural medications since they won't harm filter bacteria, they are safe for all aquarium inhabitants, and it is not as easy to overdose as with most chemicals. You must remove the carbon if you use this medicine. I bought it from the Drs. Foster and Smith website/catalog but pet stores shold have it too.
