Hey!
I'm planning to get a pair of pleco, so they can clean up and bcoz there will actually be a catfish in the aquarium at day time, lol.
Im not sure what species to get through, default would be a pair of bristlenose, but that seems ordinary.
Ideas anyone? Thanks!
What pleco to live with S. Nigriventris and congo tetra?

How big is your aquarium?
Given that you have the basis of a really nice Congo display there, why not stay with fish from the general area and look for some of the beautiful Chiloglanis that have been appearing in the trade recently?
You could also look around for some of the extremely cool African Garra species (avoid the African Labeo spp. though, in general they are psychopaths).
If you want a catfish that will be day-active, check out Pareutropius, they are frequently available and look great in shoals.
