Natural habitat of Leptodoras hasemani?

Post by retro_gk »

Hi all,
Was just browsing through the All Catfish Species Inventory and saw a pic of this fish... struck me as very Gagata like, especially the head. Does it come from similar habitats? And any ideas about diet?

Leptodoras inhabit the deeper parts of big rivers, especially areas with a sandy bottom and at least a moderate current.

Very Gagata-like in habitat, I'd say.

Convergent evolution never ceases to amaze me. :D

Do these fish show up in the hobby at all?
