Here is a new catfish my wife and I picked up. We thought we had heard of the title listed above, but it isn't listed here as that and we can't find it. ANy help is appreciated! thanks

double post, guys, typing at almost the same time 8)

too bad these hybrid mutts are showing up more often.
I've seen a tank full of them in a German LFS just a few months ago.

they were cheap, beautiful and hence, very alluring; but I've seen an adult once in a tank at an importers' place years ago; they get HUGE!

3,5-4 feet or so (more than 1 meter in length) and MASSIVE, definitely NOT an aquariumfish. it had no fear (!) and raced to hands that were stuck in the tank. snappish or used to handfeeds I don't know, just that this was definitely no sissy fish!
think about a fish twice the size and weight of an adult Koi Carp and you get as fair indication what you have on your hands.

Thanks gang. I would say you nailed it on the head. That stinks though, he is a very pretty fish. He isn;t shy at all either like you said, and eats like a pig. I guess we will have to figure out a plan B. Thanks again for the help!
