Do Bristle Noses suck on Discus?

Post by Michael_R »

Do BNs suck on Dicus' sides like common ones do?

Thanks :)

And what would you recommend as a diet for them?

EDIT: And what about gold nuggets? Oh and royals?

If they don't get enough to eat they will go after the slime coat.

Here, read up on your fish.

Ya, thanks, already looked on there :)

My only worry is going after the slime coat, but 2 feedings/day, will that make them hungry enough?

w/ 2 feedings/day I wouldn't worry about underfeeding, but overfeeding.

Right then, dropping in a zucchini once a week, a wafer or two every three days. Gonna get 3 BNS, if anything, and daily they'll clean up what the Discus don't eat.

The Discus will also be getting a vegetable flake, so the Plecos will have regular vegetables

Like i said though, a lot of what the Discus don't eat, Bloodworms, Mysis Shrimp, Pellets and the Veggie Flakes, Beefheart.

Not sure if they'll be able to eat live BS though.
