I've been 'lurking' as they call it in this forum for some time and never posted.
I have visited the shop you refer to quite regularly over the years. I was actually there on Monday when the Weitzmani were being unpacked, though at the time, I did not ask the prices as it looked kinda hectic in there - I counted about 30 boxes that were in the process of being unpacked (They told me they were just over half way through this particular Peruvian shipment). If you have ever been there is a bit in there I call the South American room, it seems always to have an endless variety of stuff in there from that region, from Stingrays and Tigrinnis (Check out the big chunky Tig as you walk in, he / she is in a huge tank set in the wall, the biggest I have ever seen)to your smaller tetras and of course many many Corydoras. All this is still going on at the same time the place is undergoing some extensive refurbishment!
I returned today for a couple of Weitzmani and with the owner's permission, I took a few pics of other fish, that I would like to keep myself one day, but tank size prohibits at the moment. If anyone is interested, I will post them up.
There was an American girl in there today, with another customer who was being served at the till and she said to me that she had been to Chester Zoo in the week, she said she saw more in the shop in an hour than in a day at the Zoo.
Earlier, I saw a post also about Pier Aquatics not advertising, I wanted to post a reply on there, but it is locked. Not a word of a lie, they do advertise ... in my Local Parish Magazine! What's that all about then ? :?:
That would be an ecumenical matter.

They are the same species as sold in Japan. I've just posted a pic of one in the UK. Nice also to see Callichthys.

Thanks reverends. :-)

BTW, only one of those posts was locked guys, you could have just posted on the other.

Thanks for pointing that out about the posting. I had not actually seen there was another post. Thanks for the hint though :)

I've also posted a couple of pics I took at Pier today ( I hope they do display!).

I don't doubt for a second they are Weitzmanii, but you can have the opportunity to make up your own mind. That's some difference in price.

It has just struck me re the reference to Reverends! Sojapat has the avatar of the third choice for Pope earlier in the year, behind Dougal McGuire and that Benedict bloke they elected :)
