Royal Panaque Aquarium Size?

Post by Oz »

Hi all, my LFS has a gorgeous 3 inch Royal that I am very interested in but I know that my current 110 Litre tank is way too small. I can get my hands on a 48x18x15 (210 Litre / 42Gal) tank - the question is how long would this tank be suitable for the Royal? I know that they can get to over 13 inches but I can't seem to find how long they take to reach this size.
Any info would be much appreciated.

The time it takes for a fish to grow is very much related to the nutrition that fish gets.

I don't know exactly how long it takes for a to grow to full size, but it's certainly not counted in months [at least if you're using your fingers to count them...]. It's more like 5-10 years to reach full size, I should think.
