I would say it looks similar to Pseudacanthicus sp L375 Transfish.de
but L185 could also be a possibilty

under what name did you buy it and any idea of its possible origin?

The import name is L64 x L24 (Golden Eye L64)!
There are two piece about 16" come to LFS.

I very much doubt that these are commercially bred, and in nature, almost all species will most likely not cross-breed [that's how they became unique species in the first place], either through geographical isolation or differentiation in some other way.

So I'm pretty sure it's NOT a hybrid.
