Surely if it was a Parotocinclus it would have a adipose fin? I cannt see one although after looking on this site I must admit, I think its a Haroldoi or spilosima

Are all the shots of the same fish?

The first photo *(with spots) looks quite different.

there a 5 fish, 3 same as the dark one and 2 as the other, I thought they may be males and females? The LFS didnt have a clue what they were so I bought them

Based on your photos, to me it looks like it does have an adipose. A very minute one, but it clearly appears to be there.

just picked up some of these and all points to p. haroldoi
check on the species cat-elog they are in there
