Brochis Sp - White spot on snout - help!

Post by jars104 »

One of my Brochis Sp has a large white spot just above her barbels. Looks very much like a bacterial problem but could anyone let me know if they've had similar and how to treat.

Sorry no photo as yet cos she won't sit still.

Cheers

I'd had the same issue with mine. One idea I've seen from others here was that it might be an abrasion from shipping - apparently they will try to get into the corner of the shipping bag (seeking refuge) and damage themselves in the process. Good water quality and care was all that was needed for the issue to remedy itself for mine. I just kept an eye on it to make sure it didn't look like it was spreading or getting worse. It took a couple weeks to disappear.

Hope that helps,
Jen
