I would narrow it down to L015, L134, L066, L260, L287, L200, L333, and of course L46. There are so many beautiful and stunning ones it is hard to narrow down.

There's one pleco I've seen so far that is much prettier than any other. . Unfortunately, they are unobtainable at anything resembling reasonable prices... :-( [Like, you pay 200 pounds for one that comes from a mail order company that you don't know if they will deliver what you expect or not... Most reputable companies can't get hold of them, whatever you're willing to pay.]

So I'm sticking to the almost as pretty decently priced species for my tank. Like L15 . They are very nice too.

To me, Royal Pleco Xingu Platinum (L027b), is the most beautiful of all.

My favourite is the Albino bristlenose (ancistrus sp) :D

The most stunning has got to be the Zebra, just has to. The pure whiteness of the white and the darkness of the black separated by a perfect line. Personally I 'don't' like them 'much' - there are other plecos I'd want to get before getting a Zeb.

The L91, imo, is also stunning. Why would a creature be mostly dull coloured except for the nice bright orange & black edges of the dorsal and caudal fins? To me thatâ??s also stunning.

Others in my short list would be L002, L018 (as common as it is), L82, L114, L133, L204, L260 of course,

Personal other favourites I'd like to buy are the 'blue range', namely L128 & L239

I someday want to setup a tank with a base of 5x2 feet. I would have it be a planted/driftwood pleco tank. Here is what it's inhabitants would be( All plecos would be under 10 inches, so I am going to put a question mark by the ones I don't know there sizes, so could you tell me how big they get.)

2 L200
1 L239?
1 Blizzard cactus?
1 L075
1 L114
1 L142
1 L273( an exception to the rule)
1 royal( another exception)

If you think this is light or heavy stocking let me know. It would probably be 6 feet instead of 5.

Since I have only seen one of these in my area, which I bought and love to death, my Florida Bred Bristlenose Pl*co, named Bob. (a great plus, since it was shipped at around 1-1.5 inches, and had a short way to go to get here.) He is my favorite fish in my 40 gallon and has his own cave combo staked out. Truly amazing fish.

Got to be LDA33 for me. I've had a Zebra and they are nowhere near as active as my LDA33, I'd say nearly as good looking but better overall. He even sucks on the front of the glass now and again.

Definately Neblinichthys pilosus, the Punk Pleco, although I will probably never be the owner of it:)
