Is there a smaller pleco that eats algae that is smaller than the BN?

I haven't had much luck with keeping Otos alive in this tank. I have heard of a pitbull pleco but I don't know if they eat algae.

Do you mean a Chaetostoma species?

They are often more sensitive than Otos. They require lower water temperatures and high dissolved oxygen. Some Chaetostoma species come from mountainous regions with very quick water. I found this fellow enjoying himself on the output of the hang-on filter.

By doing this, he told me the conditions he wanted.

Parotocinclus jumbo is the one thats called Pitbull pleco, and this fish should do well as an algae controller.

Parotocinclus jumbo are great at keeping algae out of the bottom, but I hardly have seen mine going on the furniture or plants in the tank. They mainly stay on the bottom... it is quite funny to see them pick up a gravel and make it roll in the mouth...and then putting it on the side and start with another one...and on and on...

Well, I'm going to try a pitbull. My LFS has one on hold for me which I will pick up next week.
